I studied film history and theory at Clark University and Columbia University, and film preservation and exhibition at the University of Amsterdam. I obtained my PhD from the University of Amsterdam in May 2026.
My dissertation, entitled “Showing Early and Silent Films Today: Curatorial Challenges, Considerations, and Possibilities,” examines the contemporary presentation of silent films made between approximately the late 1890s and the late 1920s and asserts this public-facing curatorial practice as a singular subfield of moving image exhibition that warrants more sustained critical attention.
I am currently at work on the monograph version.
